What makes Billings such a great place to visit is that there is always a lot to do! For those staying in hotels close to Elmo State Park and nearby, here’s a list of just a few different options of things to do during your stay at Billings. If you love wine, consider a trip to Yellowstone Cellars & Winery. At Yellowstone Cellars, there is a complete wine cellar, tasting room, and even an event area. What makes this winery unique is that the wines come from hand-picked red and white grapes that are located on small family-run vineyards. Some of their red wines include Merlots, Malbecs, Cabernet Sauvignons, and many more. So, come to the tasting room and try out the wines today! If you are looking for a relaxing or romantic afternoon, come down to the DanWalt Gardens. The garden boasts a large number of perennials that grow nicely in the Billings climate. During early June, there are also beautifully colored irises, and in August through September, do not miss a chance to view the many colorful hibiscuses. Throughout the grounds, there are also annuals and hanging baskets. A touching place to visit is the Memorial Rose Garden, where you can purchase a rose that will be planted there for a loved one. The entrance fee is $6 per person.Want to go on an adventure? Then, a trip to Lake Elmo State Park is just what you need. When the weather is warm, come down with friends and family to enjoy the many options that are here! You can soak up the sun and go swimming, ride on a sailboat, have a picnic, go fishing, or take a stroll around the lake and bird watch. The park is open daily and year-round from 5 am – 10 pm.Are you looking for entertainment? Then, the Babcock Theatre is for you. The Babcock Theatre is a historic performing arts space that was built back in 1907. Some upcoming events of this summer include a screening of The Wizard of Oz and a book signing by Robert Elder, author of The Book That Changed My Life. There is also a Hunting Film Tour, which shows fair chase adventures and inspiring hunting stories.
